A member of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Ojibwe artist Deanna Burch has been making art since grade school. As a self taught artist she does painting, drawing and beadwork. Born in London, Ontario she is currently working to restore Indigenous teachings which are represented through her art.
She created three images for this series. Inspired by the art of doodling, her images comprise text and imagery of plants and one of the most important pollinators, the Monarch butterfly.
